The Spotlight Is On ... Outdoor EdgeThe Spotlight Is On ... Outdoor Edge

Outdoor Edge is a local company committed to giving new and existing homes in Northland an ‘edge’ over others.

Formerly known as Northland Balustrade and Pool Fencing, Outdoor Edge are specialists in glass and aluminium balustrades and pool fences, as well as a range of other outdoor enhancement products and services.

The name change occurred in November last year, when the business was purchased by Steven Moore, from his wife’s uncle, Rod Hyland, who was looking to hand over the reigns.

Steven is a fully qualified builder who worked extensively in Whangarei before spending several years working in the UK and the USA. Having recently returned to Whangarei, Steven was excited about the prospect of putting down roots and buying a business.

“Rod has built up a successful business with an excellent reputation, and I’m really happy to be taking it on and growing it further,” says Steven.

“Owning and operating Outdoor Edge allows me to remain in the building industry and continue to utilise all my building experience.”

“I’m also excited about the new technology coming through with balustrades and fencing. There are so many new and versatile products on the market now, catering to everybody, no matter what your needs.”

“I really enjoy sitting down with a client and talking through their needs and hearing their vision for their outdoor space. Our goal is always to take their vision and find a solution that works – to give their outdoor space an ‘edge’.”

As well as glass and aluminium balustrades and pool fencing, Outdoor Edge also offer a range of other solutions to enhance your outdoor areas and indoor spaces, including privacy screening, louvres, automated gates and glass splashbacks.

Products are all of the highest quality, and Steven works to stringent safety regulations to ensure all installments are guaranteed both for safety and durability.

“There are so many ways to use both glass and aluminium to enhance the look of both your outdoor and indoor spaces these days. You’re really just limited by your imagination,” says Steven.
