While the site is small, the commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction is huge. Onsite inspections are welcomed. As the units are not powered, water, tea and coffee-making facilities and ablutions are available when the office is manned.

The facility is purpose built to provide maximum, sealed turning space for trailers and larger vehicles.

Designed for storage and warehousing only, there is little outdoor space available for storage which means the facility is clean and tidy as well as secure.

Location is key to the success of Dyer Street Storage with easy access from SH1 via traffic lights. Dyer Street is easily reached from SH1 or via the Kioreroa to Rewa Rewa Road throughway. The storage facility is directly linked to Whangarei Heads, a 2 minute detour off SH1 for either North or South-bound traffic and just 45 minutes drive from the Kaipara area.

What is unique about the self-storage industry?

The self-storage industry has certainly proved to be vastly different to the engineering and service arena that I came from and is unique simply for the diversity of reasons that people look to self-store.

Who are your clients?
Enquiries are made from a huge range of people. People looking to de-clutter so as they can present their homes for sale more attractively (or just de-clutter), or relocation situations, be it on-shore or off-shore with people seeking more secure work and wanting to cover their options. Space can be needed to store deceased estate treasures until such time as the family can get their head around things, or people whose children have flown and are considering down-sizing but still need secure space for the boat or camper. Commercial clients are looking in the main for warehousing. They are specific in what they are looking for and factor in location together with price, access and security.

What sets your storage facilities and service apart from your competitors?
We are a small site committed to providing a clean, sound and safe facility for our clients and purpose-built to provide maximum turning space for trailers and larger vehicles. We are fully sealed and have available spaces that provide garage-style storage with full height commercial doors on the larger Units together with the smaller standard 6m x 3m single garage options. Client access is 24/7.

Who has the responsibility of insuring the contents?
Contents Insurance is on an own-care basis and normally is a simple transfer or extension from your existing residence/place of work to the new location. We have been vetted and approved as a secure site by AMP Insurance and are more than happy to be inspected by any other Insurance agencies.
Clients provide their own padlocks to their Units thereby ensuring that only they, or those that they allow, have access to their space.

How safe are my goods and how do you manage security safety?
While our units are not individually alarmed we are fully surrounded by an electrified and 24/7 monitored security fence and gate with a security camera monitoring all entry and exits. We are also lucky to have good neighbours who keep an eye on things.
